Halloween Treat Bags Craft

Last year we shared these super cute Halloween Drink tags which were perfect for handing out those mini bottles of water either for a classroom treat or trick or treating.

This year, we’re adding a fun treat tag to the mix – because who wants to be the house only handing out water?!

This treat bag tags are perfect whether you are handing out store-bought candy or homemade treats. We’ll be using them for Ella’s classroom treats this year and writing each child’s name on the back to ensure that everyone gets a treat bag.

You can also print these out and use them for Halloween cards.

While we used an X-acto knife to cut out the bat ears and pumpkin stem for added detail, you can just choose not to cut them out and these treat bags will still look super cute.

Tip: if you don’t want to use an X-acto knife, you can just skip cutting out those shapes and these tags will still look super cute.

How to Make Paper Treat Bag Tags for Halloween

Print out the bat and the pumpkin tags.

Use scissors to cut out the tags by cutting along the border of the main pattern.

Use x-acto knife to cut open the top part of the ears of the bat; do the same for the pumpkin stem.

Fold the tag into half, keeping the ears popped up with the front side of the tag (the face of the bat).

Take a clear plastic bag and customize its size as per the size of the width of the tags.

Fill the clear plastic bag with candies and close its open end by folding it twice.

Use a stapler to attach the tag and the folded part of the treat bag together along the sides
