Homemade Conversation Heart Paint for Kids

We love to make our art and sensory activities edible for mixed age groups (like with our Edible Candy Slime), and for Valentine’s Day an Edible Conversation Heart Paint seemed like the perfect themed activity for our group!

This homemade candy paint recipe is a great way to use up leftover conversation hearts and results in a glossy and yummy-scented paint. It’s also safe for little tasters or finger painters to play with.
Ingredients to Make Conversation Heart Paint
- 20 conversation hearts in each colour of paint you want to make
- 2-3 tbsp of water for each colour
- plastic bag for each colour
- kitchen mallet
- mason jar for each colour
- paintbrush

This is such a cool idea! Edible paint is brilliant, especially for the little ones who tend to taste everything. I can just imagine the vibrant colors and sweet smell. Dealing with leftover conversation hearts this way is way better than just letting them sit around. Sometimes, you just wanna kick the buddy of boredom with a fun activity like this, and it’s perfect for a rainy afternoon. Thanks for sharing!
These homemade conversation heart paints are such a fun and creative idea for kids. The pastel colors and playful patterns almost feel as relaxing and dreamy as exploring the universe in space waves.
