No Bake Nutella Cookies Recipe
These easy no-bake Nutella drop cookies combine rich cocoa and creamy Nutella with oats for a quick, decadent treat that satisfies any chocolate craving. With just a few pantry staples and no oven required, these cookies come together in minutes for the perfect sweet snack.
My kids are absolute Nutella fanatics and they are always begging to bake with me, so this recipe is on repeat in our house.
I have them find all of the ingredients and measure them out, then Ella (who is now 13 – can you believe it? I started this blog when she was 2 years old) makes the sugar-cocoa mixture on the stove and then they all get to take turns using a cookie scoop to portion out the mixture onto a silicone baking mat.
It’s a great recipe to make when we have last-minute guests or need to bring a sweet treat along to a special occasion. If we have a school event or extra-curricular event asking for donated treats, I always check if hazelnuts are okay before preparing this recipe and usually it’s okay. (If not, our large-batch Amish Sugar Cookies are a great option.)
You can reduce the sugar by half to make this recipe, but I am writing the recipe based on the classic version which is quite sweet.
No Bake Nutella Cookies Variations:
- swap out half of the Nutella with peanut butter (the original is made with peanut butter and cocoa powder, after all)
- add 1/3 cup of shredded coconut or toasted coconut flakes
- use old-fashioned rolled oats for a chewier texture
- swap out the Nutella for cookie butter
Pro Tip for Making No Bake Nutella Cookies:
This recipe moves quickly, so have your ingredients ready and measured out before you start.
This is called mise en place – you will notice in most of my recipes, I show a picture of all of my ingredients measured out an in containers.
This is my mise en place and while it makes a few more dishes, it makes a huge difference in preparing recipes – I NEVER get halfway through a recipe and realize I don’t have enough of an ingredient, or burn something while still chopping up or finding the next ingredient. Preparing your mise en place really makes cooking and baking less stressful – especially when baking with kids.
