Bring cozy autumn flavors to your breakfast table with this quick, 5-minute Apple Cinnamon Cream Cheese recipe. Perfect as a breakfast spread or healthy fruit dip, this dreamy, creamy spread tastes like it came from a gourmet grocery store but can be whipped up at home with 5 simple ingredients.

Apple Cream Cheese Recipe
I developed this fall cream cheese recipe over three years ago and it has just been sitting on my computer, waiting to be shared with the world, since then. I should be ashamed of myself for depriving you of this luscious and flavorful breakfast spread, but hopefully, maybe after your second or third batch, you’ll find it in your heart to forgive me.
This apple cinnamon cream cheese spread combines the tartness of cream cheese with warm, aromatic cinnamon and a delicate hint of dried apple. A touch of vanilla and just 2 spoonfulls of sugar help round out the flavors and make it a sweet treat without overwhelming the other flavors or precluding this spread from being a good option for a healthy breakfast topping.
The whipped, fluffy texture is light and smooth – perfect for spreading on bagels, serving as a dip or even slathering on baked goods as a frosting, but that’s just the beginning. I brainstormed a list of ways to serve it below (in the green box) – but let me know if you come up with any more ways to enjoy it!
Apple Cinnamon Cream Cheese Variations:
- Swap out the cinnamon for a more robust apple pie spice (grab our homemade apple pie spice recipe here)
- Blend in a tablespoon of maple syrup or honey as a natural sweetener.
- Add chopped toasted pecans for texture and nutty contrast.
- Add a pinch of sea salt to enhance the sweetness and introduce a slight salty-sweet flavor profile.
- Incorporate a teaspoon of chia seeds for a slight crunch and added nutrition.

Apple Cinnamon Cream Cheese FAQs
Can I substitute fresh apples for dehydrated apples? Yes, you can add finely grated and drained apples, but note that the texture will be different and the cream cheese spread will not last as long – probably 3 days max.
How to store apple cinnamon cream cheese? Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to a week. (It will last longer than that, but you’ll be lucky if it even lasts the full week!)
Can I make this cream cheese spread ahead of time? Yes, making it a day in advance helps the flavors meld.
Can I freeze apple cinnamon cream cheese? In general, I don’t recommend freezing any recipe with cream cheese as the flavor and texture alters after freezing.
