Chick-Fil-A Sauce Recipe
Okay, for those who want to know “What is Chick-Fil-A Sauce?” it is a sweet and tangy dipping sauce handed out at Chick-Fil-A restaurants to pair with their amazing nuggets and chicken burgers.
It’s very similar to honey mustard but with more depth and creaminess.
In 2012, the company tweeted out that if someone wanted to make their own Chick-Fil-A sauce they could combine ranch dressing, BBQ sauce and honey mustard. Personally, I didn’t think that concoction came close – but if you want to spend some time experimenting in the kitchen, you can try that version and ours and see which you like better.
Mine is VERY similar to a honey mustard dipping sauce but the brown sugar and lemon juice give it a depth of flavor, similar to adding BBQ sauce but giving you a bit more control. It’s tangy, sweet and rich, making it the perfect condiment to dip your homemade Chick-fil-a nuggets in or spread ontop of your copycat Chick-fil-a chicken sandwich.
While a true Chick-Fil-A sauce incorporates some paprika, if you add that to this sauce and then refrigerate it, the paprika’s flavor can become overpowering. Chick-Fil-A sauces incorporate preservatives that prevent the paprika from overtaking the recipe, so they don’t run into that issue. If desired, you can add a sprinkle of paprika before serving this sauce but I guarantee you won’t miss it if you don’t.
This homemade chickfila sauce lasts in the fridge for up to two weeks if stored in an airtight container like a mason jar.
