I love a classic mojito, but sometimes you have to mix things up and try something new. This Blackberry Basil Vodka Cocktail is a fun take on a mojito, replacing the tingly mint with peppery basil. It’s a fun Italian Fruit Cocktail that goes perfectly with some Italian appetizers!

Blackberry Mojito Recipe

I don’t know if I can rightfully call this a blackberry mojito, since it uses vodka and basil instead of rum and mint, but the composition of the cocktail is pretty similar and the resulting taste is a fruity, crisp and slightly spicy mojito without the tingly mouthfeel of mint. However, if you want to add mint – feel free!

This is the perfect cocktail recipe to have on hand if you are planning on serving regular mojitos (whether a classic version or our frozen Mojito Slushies) and one of your guests isn’t a huge fan of mint.

The basil helps this cocktail pair exceptionally well with Italian-style appetizers, like our cheesy deluxe pizza dip, Italian-style Keto Pinwheels, or our Mini Meatball Sandwiches.

Tip: I often order my liquor from Drizly because they have a quick delivery time (sometimes within 40 minutes) and no expensive mark-ups. Purchasing from them supports local retailers, too. You can order the Vodka needed for this recipe from them.
