Our Hot Deluxe Pizza Dip is such a hit, I thought I’d kick today off by sharing 3 Delicious Homemade Pizza Dips that you can whip up while waiting for your pizza to cook – whether you’re making homemade pizzas or just looking to jazz up some frozen pizzas.
Homemade Pizza Dipping Sauces Recipes
When I was a teenager, the top pizza chain in my city had this amazing creamy garlic sauce – you always got a couple small containers with your order and it seriously made the meal. Whenever I find out that a friend is travelling there, I beg them to bring back a bottle of that creamy garlic sauce.
However, since I’m not willing to travel 6 hours each way for pizza dipping sauce, I decided I needed to figure out a few delicious pizza dip recipes of my own to tide me over and bring our family pizza nights up a notch.
These homemade pizza dips are perfect for a party or just a low-key family pizza night. They can all be stored in the fridge for up to a week, so you can prep them in advance for even easier entertaining.
So that there’s something for everyone, I whipped up a spicy marinara, a garlic parmesan dip, and a buttery herb dip – all ready in under a minute each!
The spicy marinara sauce uses just four ingredients and you can adjust the heat by reducing or omitting the hot sauce. I like using pasata (strained tomatoes) when making my homemade sauces because then I can really customize my textures and flavors. This sauce is rich and has great depth of flavor thanks to the sundried tomatoes we puree right into the sauce.
The creamy garlic Parmesan dip is by far my favorite. It is the perfect balance of creamy cheesiness with that zing of fresh garlic. You can make it thinner or thicker, depending on the amount of mayonnaise or olive oil that you add to your sauce.
The buttery herb dip can be customized with your favorite herbs, and you can also add a bit of freshly grated cheese to it, too! You can use fresh or dried herbs.

Garlic dipping sauce is my favorite! #client
Didn’t you leave out the Parmesan for the parm/garlic dip? The pic (and title!) looks as if there should be Parmesan cheese….?
We love garlic but this garlic dip uses way too much garlic. We had to use another half cup of mayo but it was too spicy.
I’m sorry to hear you didn’t love the recipe, I appreciate your feedback!
