A super easy naan bread pizza recipe kids will love, this Heart-Shaped Naan Pizza idea is less of a recipe and more of a fun idea to do with the kids.
Naan Pizza Recipe
Naan is a staple in our house – we serve it with everything from curries to soups, and we make it just about every way – dessert versions and savory versions, and everything in between.
My daughter, Ella, has long been experimenting with “naan bread pizzas” before they were popular on Pinterest, and she’s gotten all of our daycare kids hooked on them, too!
(And PS – I know it pains some people to see them referred to as “naan bread” since that’s basically saying “bread bread” but that’s what the kids are hooked on calling them!)
It’s way easier to grab a round of naan and let the kids customize a personal pizza than it is to plan ahead and prep some pizza dough – and to be honest, my picky eaters love this better than pizza dough because the thickness and taste is always consistent.
Just use your favorite pizza toppings and let the kids each decorate one or two pizzas for themselves, and pair it with a side salad or smoothie for a balanced lunch.
We also sometimes grab cookie cutters and cut fun shapes out of the naan to make shaped pizzas. This time, we went for hearts, but we’ve also done princess crowns for parties, dinosaurs for my dino-obsessed daycare kids, etc.
