This “Dirty Dr Pepper Cocktail” was one that I made often as when working at a Greek restaurant and funny enough, contains no Dr. Pepper! This is the first cocktail recipe I ever shared on Sugar, Spice and Glitter and since then we’ve shared dozens more. Check out our full collection of cocktail recipes here.

Amaretto and Coke Cocktail

This Dirty Dr Pepper Cocktail tastes pretty similar to a Dr. Pepper but is actually made with a combination of liqueurs and Coca-Cola. I’ve also made it with half beer and half coke, with the liqueurs poured in, but I personally prefer it without the beer. (Especially for serving to guests, when you don’t want to surprise them with an overly strong drink.)

This is a fun drink for summer barbecues as you can prepare a big pitcher for guests to self-serve from. I’ve provided both the individual measurements for a single cocktail, and the measurements for a pitcher.

I often order my liquor from Drizly because they have a quick delivery time (sometimes within 40 minutes – usually within the hour) and no expensive mark-ups. Purchasing from them supports local retailers, too. You can order the Amaretto for this recipe here, and the Cinnamon Whiskey here.

If you’re a huge fan of Dr Pepper, you may like our Dr Pepper Hot Corn Dip or our Instant Pot Dr Pepper Pulled Pork. (These recipes actually contain Dr Pepper – unlike this cocktail!)

How to Make a Dirty Dr Pepper Cocktail

For a single cocktail, fill a glass with ice and pour in the Amaretto, cinnamon alcohol and coke.

(If using beer, add an equal amount of beer as coke.)

For a full pitcher of Dr Pepper Cocktails, mix together 1/2 cup Amaretto, 1/2 cup cinnamon alcohol (Goldschlager or Fireball) and 3 cups Coca-Cola.

Add the ice to individual glasses before serving to avoid watering down the cocktails.
