50+ Ways to Decorate Easter Eggs
Decorating Easter Eggs is a classic family tradition, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with just going the old-fashioned route with some food dye and hardboiled eggs! But if you’re looking for a way to shake things up, these 50+ Ways to Decorate Easter Eggs will give you loads of inspiration!
Does your family decorate Easter eggs every year?
Between my daycare kids and my craft-obsessed mini me, we probably go through two dozen eggs with all of our egg decorating and experimenting, so I like to avoid the grocery-store kits and come up with our own fun twists.
There are ideas here for kids of every age, and plenty of egg decorating ideas for grown-ups, too!
Some of these craft tutorials specify how to prepare the eggs – whether blown out or hardboiled – but our go to is now buying fake paper mache-style eggs or dye-able plastic eggs for a few reasons:
- they are more durable and less likely to be accidentally cracked by little crafters
- no worrying about sanitizing egg shells adequately
- no food waste (as much as we try to use up all of the eggs from our crafting, I can’t always keep up!)
- and you can keep them as long as you want!
Wooden eggs are also a great alternative!
