Unicorn Easter Egg (with Video)
A fun Easter Egg craft for kids, these Unicorn Easter Eggs come together super quickly to make a magical addition to your Easter decor.
Unicorn Easter Egg Craft
Now that my daughter is a bit older, just dyeing our eggs isn’t cutting it anymore.
She wants to be more creative and apply the same crafting standards that we have during the rest of the year to our Easter egg crafts. She wants them to be girly, magical and special – and these unicorn Easter eggs definitely fit the bill!
All you really need to make these Unicorn Easter eggs are some craft eggs, foam and decorative flowers, plus everyday craft supplies like glue, markers and scissors. You can get really fancy and make your horns out of polymer clay and make your little flower crowns from scratch… but I’m loving how these fast and easy Unicorn eggs turned out!
You can use plain craft eggs for this craft or dyed eggs. I personally prefer using craft eggs rather than hardboiled or blown-out egg shells for crafts with the kids, because they are sturdier (no tears over accidentally-cracked eggs) and you can keep the finished craft around for much longer.
These unicorn eggs look super cute displayed all on their own, either in egg stands or a little Easter basket, and would also be cute added to an Easter wreath or turned into a unique Easter magnet.

How to Make a Unicorn Easter Egg
Trace a 3” circle onto back of the gold glitter craft foam (the non-glittery side) and cut out.
Cut the circle in half.
Roll one half of the circle into a cone shape, with the glitter side facing out and glue in place.
Glue the horn to the top of a craft egg.
Cut two small triangle shapes out of the pink craft foam for the outer ears, and two smaller triangle pieces out of the gold glitter craft foam.
Glue the glitter inner ear pieces to the pink outer ears.
Use your fingers to curve the ears slightly and glue to the top of the egg, on each side of the unicorn horn.
Decorate the top of the egg with the mini paper flowers, gluing them to form a floral crown around the horn and ears, covering up any glue smudges.
Use a pencil to draw on the eyes for your unicorn and then trace over with black marker.
