Montessori Toddler Activities
There are lots of good reasons for wanting to incorporate Montessori learning and inspiration into your toddler’s routine, and there are lots of different ways to go about doing that. It’s important to note, most “Montessori toddler activities” are not actually Montessori — they are Montessori-inspired, and many more are actually Reggio- or Waldorf-inspired. That doesn’t make them any less useful (and fun!), but it’s good to get a variety of opinions and read Dr. Montessori’s works for yourself to determine what your interpretation of Montessori is.
I hope you enjoy the toddler years, and don’t worry about starting Primary (3-6) level activities until your child is older. There are so many wonderful practical life skills, sensory experiences, and methods of play-based learning that you can use to prepare your child for Montessori Primary, there is no need to start the works early.
Please let me know if you ever have any questions, of if there are toddler topics you’d like to see covered here on the blog.
