Homemade Donut Flavored Vodka Recipe

Warm vanilla, caramelized brown sugar, and a subtle gloss of corn syrup come together to recreate the unmistakable flavor of a classic glazed donut—but with an adult twist. This is not your average flavored vodka.

It’s rich, round, and just indulgent enough, offering a smooth sweetness that lingers on the palate without becoming cloying. Think of it as the liquid essence of that first bite into a just-frosted donut—now bottled for your bar cart.

Enjoy it as a shot, added to cocktails or diluted with coffee or hot chocolate.

(Note: this is not a real “moonshine” recipe – for some reason, it is a trend on Pinterest to call homemade infused vodkas “moonshine” but let’s be clear, there are stills or cabins deep in the wood necessary to make this recipe – it’s a homemade infused vodka that lends itself perfectly to a variety of gourmet cocktail recipes.)

How to store homemade infused vodkas: This vodka can be stored at room temperature in a covered jar or bottle after making it, however the flavor will stay fresher if stored in a cool place. (It can be refrigerated or kept in the freezer, though that’s not necessary.)

How long does the infused vodka last? Once strained, it’ll keep for up to 6 months in a cool, dark place. Store it in a tightly sealed bottle or jar. If you’ve added sugar or simple syrup, refrigeration is recommended.
