Nutter Butter Dessert Lasagna Recipe

A quick search of this site will reveal that I have 137 recipes that feature both chocolate and peanut butter as ingredients, and if today’s recipe is any indication, my obsession with peanut butter and chocolate desserts isn’t about to stop anytime soon!

Today, I’m sharing a no-bake recipe for a Nutter Butter Lasagna that I recently served to my book club ladies… and my family was more than happy to polish off the leftovers!

(And for anyone who is curious, the month’s book was Yellowface by R.F. Kuang, which was hands-down one of the best fiction reads I’ve read this year… and I’m currently at 64 books for the year.)

This no-bake layered dessert has it all: a crunchy peanut butter cookie layer, a tart cream cheese layer, creamy chocolate pudding, a sweet whipped topping, and a drizzle of peanut butter to top it all off.

And to make this recipe even sweeter? It takes less than 15 minutes to whip up.

(Thank goodness, because my whole house is currently in a revolt demanding that I whip up another batch just for them!)

How to store nutter butter dessert lasagna: this layered dessert should be covered and kept in the fridge until serving. (This is why I make the recipe in a Pyrex dish that comes with a lid.) It can be stored in the fridge for up to a week. Note that the cookies will be softer after storing in the fridge.

How to freeze nutter butter dessert lasagna: cover and freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to one month. You can thaw in the fridge prior to serving, although this chocolate dessert lasagna also makes a great frozen treat.

If Nutter Butters aren’t available where you live, any peanut butter sandwich cookie can be used to replace them – and if that’s not an option, spread some peanut butter in between vanilla or graham cracker cookies and smash them up for an easy replacement.

Tip: If you want the cookie crumbs to be super small you can add them to a food processor. I liked having some bigger chunks so i used a zip lock bag.
