Frankenstein Mickey Halloween Ornaments
Two years ago, we brought you Frankenstein Mickey Donuts inspired by Mickey’s Not So Spooky Halloween Party. This year, the parties are all canceled – but that doesn’t mean you can’t bring the Disney Halloween fun home with you! These Mickey Halloween Ornaments are a fun way to decorate your house for Halloween – whether you hang it from a Halloween Tree like we did, or make them into fridge magnets, banners, etc.
Mickey Frankenstein Craft
This craft was inspired by a Disney Short, I’m Alive, which features Mickey Mouse as Frankenstein’s Monster, Goofy as Frankenstein and Donald Duck as Igor. Here’s a clip if you’ve never seen it:
And since Minnie Mouse is my favorite, we had to include her as the Bride of Frankenstein with that signature poof of streaked hair.
We have a purple Christmas tree set up year-round in our living room that we swap out for seasonal decorations, so our Mickey and Minnie Frankenstein ornaments were added to that. If you’re not as silly as we are, you can use this Printable Frankenstein Craft Template to make a Mickey Frankenstein card, attach a magnet to the back for a cute fridge decoration, or make a banner of these for your mantle or front window.
I also think these would be super cute as a rearview mirror decoration, if you want to bring some Disney magic into your car.
We’ve made today’s craft super quick and easy for you with a free printable Frankenstein Craft Template. You can just print, cut and glue the pieces together – or you can go a step further with your embellishments by adding craft gems, drawing on the facial features, etc.
You can also laminate these ornaments to allow them to last year after year. This is the laminator I use, and I just buy the super cheap packages of laminate sheets from Amazon. It costs about 13 cents a sheet to laminate which lets us get so much use out of any activity we print out.

How to Make a Mickey Frankenstein Craft
First, assemble your craft materials.
Download and print out the Mickey Frankenstein Ornament template. Pay attention to the colors that the PDF instructs you to print each page of the template on:
- Bolt pieces and Bride of Frankenstein Hair on white cardstock
- Mickey Ears and Mickey hair pieces on black cardstock
- Main face shapes (circles) on green cardstock
- Minnie’s Bow on purple cardstock
Cut out all ornament pieces.
Use paint or coloring markers to make the bolt pieces gray or silver.
Start assembling the ornaments by gluing the black circle ears behind the green circle heads, about a finger width’s apart.
Glue Minnie’s Bride of Frankenstein hair to the top of the front piece of her head and then attach the ribbon at the base of the hair.
Glue Mickey’s Hair to the top of his head.
Apply a very light amount of glue to the areas that you would like to add glitter, if using. I find a paintbrush can be really helpful with this step.
Sprinkle the glitter onto the glue and shake off the excess.
Cut a small length of ribbon or twine (about 4″) and create a loop. Glue to the back of the ornaments.
(If you’d like to cover the ribbon, you can use a small circle of green cardstock to cover, or make these Mickey and Minnie Halloween ornaments double-sided.)
