Seabreeze Vodka Cocktail Recipe

The Seabreeze cocktail is a bright, crisp, and unfussy drink that instantly evokes a sun-drenched afternoon near the water.

Built on a base of vodka with equal parts cranberry and grapefruit juice, it strikes a balance between tart and sweet, light and refreshing. The grapefruit brings a bracing citrusy edge, while the cranberry rounds it out with subtle sweetness and a blush of ruby color.

Poured over ice in a hurricane glass and topped with a citrus wedge and a cranberry-lined skewer, it’s a drink that feels just a bit dressy, even when you’re barefoot on the patio.

Seabreeze Cocktail Variations:

  • Seabreeze Spritz: Add a splash of club soda or sparkling wine for a bubbly twist.
  • Herbal Breeze: Muddle a sprig of rosemary or basil before adding the ice for an herbaceous note.
  • Tropical Breeze: Swap half of the grapefruit juice for pineapple juice for a sweeter, tropical profile.
  • Citrus Punch: Use blood orange juice in place of grapefruit juice for a vibrant color and tangier finish.
  • Gin Breeze: Substitute vodka with a botanical gin for a more aromatic experience.

What’s the best type of vodka for a Seabreeze? A smooth, neutral vodka is best. You don’t need to splurge—mid-range brands work well.

Can I batch this cocktail ahead of time? Yes, combine vodka and juices in a pitcher without ice. Chill well and serve over ice just before guests arrive.

Do I need a cocktail shaker? No shaker needed. The Seabreeze is a built-in cocktail, meaning it’s stirred directly in the glass.

Can I make it non-alcoholic? Absolutely, omit the vodka and replace it with sparkling water or a splash of tonic for a refreshing mocktail.
