Passion fruit is often the neglected tropical fruit.
Mango and pineapple seem to get all the glory – but today we’re putting passion fruit centerstage with a tart and fruity passion fruit cocktail. What I love about passion fruit is that when it’s perfectly ripe it hits that balance of sweet and tart, with a rich and unique citrus flavor.
Buying actual passion fruit can be intimidating – and the um, aroma, that they can give off in grocery stores can make them less than appealing, so we’re skipping the fruit and taking it easy with some store-bought passion fruit juice. Try to purchase a 100% juice and not one with added sugar.
We’re playing up that sweet-tart flavor combination with raspberry vodka and Limoncello. They are both tart, with a sweetness from the Limoncello that cuts the tartness enough to make it enjoyable and not too lip-puckering.
Store-bought Limoncello can be pricey, so you can make your own Limoncello for this recipe.
To make a full pitcher of these Passion Fruit cocktails, combine 1 1/2 cups Smirnoff Raspberry vodka, 4 ounces of Limoncello and 3 cups of passion fruit juice. This can be made up to a day in advance.

How to Make Raspberry Passion Fruit Cocktail
In a cocktail shaker, mix ice, Smirnoff Raspberry Vodka, Limoncello, and Passion Fruit Juice.
Shake and strain into a glass over ice.
