This maple peach chia jam is perfect for moms to make and kids to eat. It’s simple to whip together, delicious and contains real, whole food ingredients – ideal to add into yogurts for a snack or toast for breakfast.

This clean eating Maple Peach Chia Seed Jam is a sugar-free homemade jam perfect for crackers, toast or as a healthy tart filling. It would also make a delicious and healthy homemade gift!

Once summer comes around I instinctively start getting excited for peaches! They’re just too tasty to pass up. Which is why they make a great jam base! Maple peach jam is sweet, simple and contains no processed sugars- so it’s ideal to spread on muffins, mix into yogurt and smear on toast.

Chia seeds are one of my favorite foods for kids because they contain so many health boosting nutrients. But did you know they also make a kick but jam? When chia seeds are combined in water they absorb it. This creates a gel like substance which makes a great base for jams or puddings.

Maple syrup is also an overlooked powerhouse – it adds nutrients like manganese, zinc, magnesium, calcium and potassium. (And it’s actually a better choice than honey or agave for these reasons.)

Since this homemade jam contains no added preservatives, its best consumed within the first two weeks. You can alter the sweetness as to your preference but the maple and peach combination works lovely mixed into yogurt with granola, spread onto your mornings muffins or my daughters favoirite- off of chia seed crackers!

Make a batch of this jam and serve it warm with some muffins for a mornign treat and your house guests (and your kids) will be asking for more!
