Double Chocolate Unicorn Cookies Recipe

These colorful double chocolate chip cookies might not scream unicorn to you immediately, but all that tells me is that you’re not surrounded by all things UNICORN lovers.

Lucky you.

I am a girl mom. I have a unicorn head literally mounted on my wall watching my every move as I write up this recipe.

Don’t believe me?

Okay, I just took a break from writing up this recipe to take photographic proof of my full immersion into the girl mom lifestyle.

Whenever I dust my house, the dusting rags are coating in glitter.

Half of my laundry is hang-to-dry princess clothing.

It’s a lifestyle.

So, whenI came across these unicorn chocolate chips a few weeks ago and knew they were a 100% necessary purchase so we could bake up some fresh unicorn-inspired cookies. (They’d also be fun to use for a no-bake unicorn bark, unicorn granola bites, unicorn muffins, etc.)

My daughter loved getting to help me whip up these cookies and getting to add as much “unicorn magic” (those chocolate chips and sprinkles) as she wanted.

Chocolate Unicorn Cookie Variations:

  • Skip the homemade chocolate cookie dough by using our standby chocolate cake mix cookie dough by combining a box of chocolate cake mix with 2 eggs and 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • Add a swirl of frosting and pre-made candy eyes and unicorn horns to bring the unicorn theme to another level
  • If you can’t find pastel chips, use chopped up candy melts in a variety of colors
