Strawberry Cocktail Recipe
My all-time favorite dessert is Isaphan, a French pastry with raspberry, rose, vanilla and lychee flavors all working perfectly together.
Rose is one of those flavors that can be so tricky to get right! So many rose-flavored things are bitter, and miss the sweet, floral, almost fruity notes that rose can impart to desserts or drinks. I’ve found that the key is a great-quality rose extract – never rose water, never cheap extracts.
When I saw that Smirnoff had a Strawberry Rose vodka, I was so excited to experiment with it!
I decided to make a sparkling cocktail using sparkling rosé mixed with the vodka, however, if you don’t want as strong of a drink you can mix the strawberry rose vodka with lemonade, our hibiscus iced tea recipe, club soda, gingerale, etc.
And naturally, because I want my cocktails to be pretty and I love a good theme, I made a quick strawberry rose to feature in each glass and then helped it stay upright by filling the rest of the glass with ice to hold it in place. I describe the process of how to do it in the recipe below, but if you’d prefer a video tutorial, you can check one out here.
If you can’t find the Strawberry Rose vodka, you can instead use Strawberry vodka and add a small dash (1/4 teaspoon to 1/2 teaspoon) of good-quality rose extract.
I haven’t tried these Skinny Girl flavor extracts, but they sound delicious and you could use the Strawberry Rose one in place of the vodka and just mix it with the sparkling rosé.
This cocktail is perfect for a girl’s night, bachelorette party, or fancy brunch. Me? I made it for our family’s Beauty and the Beast movie night.

How to Make a Strawberry Rose
Start by making 4 shallow, downward cuts along the outer base of the strawberry (near the hull).
Use your knife to slightly curl the top edges of the cut out from the base of the strawberry.
Make 3 more cuts slightly further up the strawberry, trying to space those cuts in between the “petals” of the bottom layer.
Cut the pointed edge of the strawberry in two.
How to Make a Strawberry Rose Cocktail
Fill your glass with ice and firmly place your strawberry rose in the center.
Add the vodka, followed by the sparkling rosé.
Serve immediately.
