OREO Fudge Variations:

  • use different OREO flavours – lemon OREOs, cinnamon bun OREOs, mint OREOs, etc
  • for a no-cook version, combine 2 cups of melted white chocolate wafers or chocolate chips along with 4 Tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk to form the fudge and then fold in the OREO cookies
  • add additional ingredients – chopped maraschino cherries, white chocolate chips, sprinkles, etc.

If your fudge is dry or crumbly, it’s because it was overcooked. Pay attention to the times outlined in the recipe below for your best results.

Can this OREO fudge be frozen? This fudge will last at room temperature for up to two weeks, if kept in an airtight container. Refrigerating will allow it to last up to a month.

However, if are planning way ahead of time, you can freeze this fudge for up to four months, but note that the texture will change slightly. If you do need to freeze it, try to freeze it before cutting into servings (to prevent the fudge from drying out) and wrap in wax paper before placing in an airtight zip-top bag or freezer containers. (This set of freezer containers is a crazy bargain.)

Tip: if wanting to add vanilla to the fudge, use vanilla bean paste or an alcohol-based vanilla extract. Avoid vanillas with water as they can cause a crumbly texture in the finished fudge.
