Do your kids love Halloween? These cute Kid-Made Mickey Mouse Ding Dongs are easy for kids to help make and make a cute Halloween party treat!

Ding-Dong! These Scrumptious Mickey Mouse Ding-Dongs are all treat, no tricks! A deliciously easy, no-bake Disney Halloween dessert kids can help make.

OK, so full disclosure before you get further down in this post and realize it for yourself – these are not homemade ding dongs!

Ella had a creative idea on how to decorate pre-made ding dongs to be spooky and Disney-inspired at the same time, and I think they turned out soooo super cute I had to share them.

I also let her take these pictures (with the camera strap securely around her neck – because it’s my second baby) so this post is almost entirely kid-made… except I’m going to still be a control freak on the writing. (You’re welcome.)

This is such a fun food craft for a Halloween party or a special lunch box treat – especially for a Mickey-loving kid.

How to Make Halloween Mickey Treats

Using a double broiler, melt the milk chocolate and scoop into a piping bag not fitted with a tip. (You can also melt the chocolate in 30-second bursts in the microwave, stirring in between each heating until smooth.)
Place the printable template under the wax paper and cut the tip off the piping bag.
Using the melted chocolate, pipe out mickey’s ears
Pipe a triangle in the middle of the bottom part of the ears to create a ‘pick’ for the ears to stick to the ding dongs.
Place the tray into the fridge to set.
Meanwhile, combine the egg whites, cream of tarter, vanilla and powdered sugar.
Mix on medium speed until stiff peaks form, about 5-6 minutes.
Split the frosting into three bowls – add black food coloring to one bowl, orange coloring into another bowl and the yellow coloring into the last bowl.
Scoop the black icing into a piping bag fitted with a #2 tip
Unwrap the ding dongs and using the black piping bag, pipe out a Jack O’Lantern face
Take the orange piping bag and cut a small tip, pipe a small line of icing, and then a small line of yellow, and repeat. You are creating a “flame effect” in the facial features of the Jack O’Lantern.
Let icing dry for 1 hour until hardened.
Once the frosting is hardened, remove the ears from the parchment paper and insert into the ding dongs for Mickey’s ears
