Rice Krispie Hershey Kiss Recipe
One of my daughter’s favorite things to do on vacation is shop for fun souvenirs to bring back home to her friends and family.
It’s such a sweet aspect of her personality – I love that she’s thinking about them even while she’s having all of these fun new experiences and that she’s looking to include them a little bit in her fun.
Last year she bought her grandpa one of these Giant Hershey’s Kisses in NYC and it was a huge hit.
For his birthday this year, she wanted to make him a homemade Giant Hershey’s Kiss – but the thought of melting that much chocolate seemed like a disaster waiting to happen!
An easy alternative was this chocolate-covered Rice Krispie Kiss. Not only was it way easier to make, it is definitely less expensive than buying several pounds of chocolate chips and I think it’s a way more enjoyable dessert than a giant hunk of chocolate.
By far the best part about this recipe is that it is so incredibly easy for kids to make independently. From making the rice krispie mixture, to filling the funnel “molds,” covering them in chocolate – and then wrapping them in foil and attaching a cute homemade tag.
You can customize your little Hershey’s Kiss tag to have a special customized message, which is such a thoughtful and fun touch.
Your Hershey’s Kiss Rice Krispies can be kept at room temperature for about 3 days.

Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds. Stir well and reheat as needed.
If desired, you can stir in the shortening or coconut oil to make your chocolate coating more smooth and easily pourable.
Remove the rice krispie kisses from the fridge and use a spoon to pour the melted chocolate over the kisses.
Allow the chocolate to harden at room temperature before packaging.
To wrap your Hershey’s Kisses, take a large square of tinfoil and wrap around the Hershey’s Kiss by placing it on the foil and smoothing the foil towards the top.
