Sugar Skull DIYs

When Ella was really little, my grandfather died and she took it pretty hard.

A good family friend witnessed one of her spontaneous bawl fests and shared with her about her family’s Day of the Dead traditions, and Ella quickly latched onto them as a way to cope with the loss.

We continue to celebrate Day of the Dead to this day, but we also have embraced the decor as part of our everyday home decor.

Hand painted sugar skulls (sit atop of Ella’s desk, while blown glass sugar skull plates adorn the walls.

This year, I thought it would be fun to make a few of our own sugar skull crafts, so today I’m sharing all of the fun Day of the Dead craft ideas that I found with you!
