Snow on the Beach Martini
If you like piña coladas, and getting caught in the snow… then you are going to love this Snow on the Beach Citrus Cocktail recipe!
Frozen Blue Hawaiian Cocktail
Ok, so cheesy song references aside (can you blame me?) this icy update on the tropical classic is a delicious option for any winter parties or get-togethers. (It would also be fun for a grown-up option at a Frozen birthday party… or after sitting through one too many a cappella versions of “Let it Go” sung by your daughter and her friends…)
Instead of getting it’s citrus flavor from pineapple juice, this cocktail uses Blue Curaçao both for it’s blue color and for that vibrant orange flavor. Mixed with ice, rum, and coconut cream, you get any icy yet creamy winter take on a classic summer cocktail.
If you want a classic Blue Hawaiian flavor profile, use pineapple juice instead of water to make your ice cubes.
(And you can freeze the coconut cream in an ice cube tray for later use – I only ever use a couple tablespoons at a time, which gets expensive.)
I first shared this frosty cocktail on my friend Amanda’s site.
Tip: I often order my liquor from Drizly because they have a quick delivery time (sometimes within 40 minutes) and no expensive mark-ups. Purchasing from them supports local retailers, too. You can order the White Rum and Blue Curaçao needed for this recipe from them.
