#30DaysToMontessori Challenge!
I am so excited to bring you the #30daystomontessori challenge!
My goal with this challenge is to inspire and encourage parents and teachers who are interested in the Montessori Method to bring their homes, minds, and hearts closer to the practices and principles of Montessori.
What is Montessori?
Montessori is an educational approach developed by Dr. Maria Montessori that emphasizes hands-on learning and practical life experiences, but it is more than that. It is a respect for children as competent and capable, as worthy of our respect and collaboration.
Is the #30DaystoMontessori Challenge for You?
Maybe you want to homeschool with the Montessori Method, or maybe you want to encourage your child to become more independent.
No matter to what degree you want to implement Montessori into your home routines, this challenge will encourage and inspire you to think Montessori. As for the activities, you can take what works for you, and leave the rest.
The daily tasks or activities will take less than half an hour each (including reading the post), and will guide you towards living a Montessori-inspired life and having a Montessori-inspired home for your children to flourish in.
Connect with Other Montessori Parents
As an extra layer of fun, if you complete a task or activity, or just want to share where you are at with the challenge, add the hashtag #30daystoMontessori to any social media post to become part of the conversation and connect with others engaging in this challenge. This will inspire others who are a bit stuck and can spark interest in people who may have previous heard of Montessori. (If you’re not sure how hashtags work, if you write exactly “#30daystoMontessori” at some point in a post, clicking on that hashtag will show you other posts that also contain that hashtag!)
All of the posts are listed here and there are always new people starting the challenge — and using the hashtag #30daytoMontessori to keep the conversation alive.
Please feel free to tag me or send me questions, I can be found on Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram! I also run two Facebook groups — Combining Reggio and Montessori and Christian Montessori Network, if you’d like to join and discuss the challenge on either of those!
We also have some amazing bloggers and Montessori teachers who are contributing to the conversation and will have guest posts featured throughout the month.
Today, just take a deep breath and get excited! Follow me via social media if you’d like to share your posts with me and make sure to subscribe to my daily or weekly e-mails.
I’m responding to “a couple of spots still for guest posts if anyone is interested in contributing”
I’m looking for those that might be interested in my website (Facebook page) about my book (largely Montessori oriented).
If you’re not interested in placing it in a “guest post” of yours, maybe you could have a look and give me your own feedback. Thank you. Best.
Thanks for the invite, Sheryl!
