Ever since discovering whiskey last summer, I’ve been having a lot of fun experimenting with classic whiskey cocktails, like this Classic Whiskey Sour recipe.

A classic Whiskey Sour Cocktail recipe using just three ingredients. No need to break out the expensive whiskey for this recipe that tastes like a grown-up lemonade cocktail.

The Whiskey Sour was invented in 1872 and has been a favorite classic cocktail ever since.

Using just 5-ingredients (including the garnish), this classic tastes like a brisk lemonade and is a fun option for summer get-togethers.

Today, I’m sharing all of the details for how to make a classic Whiskey Sour over on SoFab Food – but if you try it, don’t forget to come back and tell me (or tag me on social media).

You Will Need:

  • Whiskey
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • Simple syrup <– I make my own by boiling equal parts water and sugar until they reduce to a sticky syrup
  • Cherries, stem in preferably
  • Lemon wedges or slices
  • Ice
