Strawberry Cake Cocktail Recipe
I’m not a big drinker but I enjoy a cocktail with friends, so my “rule” is that if I’m too tired to whisk together three ingredients, then I’m too tired to indulge in a cocktail… let alone entertain other people!
Today’s Strawberry Cake Cocktail is a perfect cocktail to enjoy with friends. It’s smooth, sweet and juicy, with a creamy element without adding in any dairy products.
It tastes like a strawberry shortcake or a slice of frosted strawberry cake, but with a fraction of the calories and in a much more enjoyable form.
Almond simple syrup complements the strawberry and vanilla flavors, rounding out the flavour profile of this easy 4-ingredient cocktail to taste just like a strawberry cake.
I make my own almond simple syrup (it’s the same syrup I use to make homemade mai tais) but you can use pre-made if desired.

Strawberry Cake Cocktail Variations:
- Amaretto instead of almond simple syrup
- Blended and strained strawberries
- Use a strawberry blend juice – like strawberry peach or strawberry lemon
- Vanilla or cake vodka instead of whipped cream vodka
- Sparkling strawberry juice for added fizz
Tip: I often order my liquor from Drizly because they have a quick delivery time (sometimes within 40 minutes) and no expensive mark-ups. Purchasing from them supports local retailers, too. You can order the Vanilla Vodka needed for this recipe from them.

Strawberry Cake Cocktail Ingredients
- 2-3 Tablespoons Almond Simple Syrup (orgeat)
- 2-3 Tablespoons Sprinkles
- 4 oz whipped cream vodka (or cake flavor or vanilla)
- 8 oz Strawberry Juice
- Ice
Tip: if you want to skip the almond simple syrup, just garnish the glass with plain simple syrup and sprinkles – adding Amaretto for flavor.
Kitchen Tools You May Find Helpful
- Pastry brush <– I like these because they are one solid piece and don’t have removable heads for bacteria to get trapped underneath. Plus they are heat-resistant and have a lifetime warranty.
- Liquid Measure
- Shallow Dish
I really loved using my gorgeous Omishome Bartending Kit to make this recipe. The pretty bamboo holder contains all of the tools you need to make perfect cocktails, and those pretty gold tools add a touch of class to your home bar set-up.

This Strawberry Cake Cocktail looks absolutely delightful! The combination of fresh strawberries and the rich cake-inspired flavors is both creative and refreshing. It reminds me of the innovative and vibrant dishes at 19 Cleveland in Nolita, NYC. Their menu beautifully blends Mediterranean influences with global flavors, much like how this cocktail fuses dessert with a drink. If you’re ever in New York, https://19cleveland.com/ offers a cozy atmosphere and a menu that celebrates culinary diversity.
