Crockpot Apple Cider with Orange and Cranberries
It’s no secret that I love using my crockpot for easy entertaining, and this Crockpot Apple Cider recipe is no exception! It’s such a delicious drink to serve guests and it leaves your house smelling wonderful.
Crockpot Apple Cider Recipe
In the fall and winter, I often throw some apple cider in the crockpot before heading outside with the kids. It’s such a treat to return inside to the delicious smell filling the house and then wrap our fingers around mugs of warm apple cider.
For entertaining though, I wanted to come up with something a bit more special to really treat our guests. While I have a delicious crockpot hot chocolate recipe and several crockpot latte recipes, I wanted something that was a bit lighter and would keep everyone happy.
This crockpot cranberry apple cider smells amazing and is like a warm fruit punch. It would be perfect for parties or for any time you may have friends over after being outside (winter walks, Santa Claus parades, etc.) It can be cooked on high in 25 minutes, or on low for an hour, which is when a crockpot with a timer comes in handy.
Also, because there is no added sugar to this recipe (just the naturally occurring sugars that exist in the apple cider and juices to begin with), I don’t have to limit the kids to just one glass.
(And if you want to, you can spike the adult glasses with a bit of vodka.)
PS – I do not recommend serving hot apple cider in Moscow Mule mugs, I thought it would be pretty but copper conducts heat pretty well and it made holding these mugs uncomfortable – we quickly poured them into ceramic mugs, which are a more appropriate choice.

This is the crockpot that I use the most often – it has a thermoshield which not only prevents little fingers from being burned if the kids touch the outside of the crockpot, but it’s also great for bringing along to potlucks. I also like that I can set the cook time on it, so if we end up taking too long playing outside (or running errands) I don’t have to worry about the food burning.
