Cookies and Cream Cold Brew
A decadent cold brew recipe just for OREO fans, this Cookies and Cream Cold Brew is super simple to make at home yet tastes like it came straight from Starbucks!
Cookies and Cream Cold Brew Recipe
Since I bought my espresso maker almost 7 years ago, I have only set foot in a Starbucks or pulled into their drive-thru lane less than 10 times. (And most of those have been to get my bougie preteen daughter something…)
I just can’t justify the cost of their coffees when I can make something just as good or better at home. And today’s OREO Cold Brew is a perfect example.
I can whip up a batch of this cold brew and mocha-infused cold foam on the weekend and indulge in multiple decadent, luxurious cups of this sweet treat all week long.
Our homemade cookies and cream cold brew infuses the vanilla and chocolate flavors of America’s favorite cookie into a rich cup of cold brew coffee, complete with sweet Starbucks-worthy cold foam. It’s the perfect mash-up of cookie and coffee flavors and is incredibly sippable on a hot summer day.
To make your own cold brew, roughly grind 1 1/2 cups of coffee beans and add to 6 cups of water. Refrigerate overnight and then drain and dispose of the coffee beans, saving the coffee for the recipe. (You can use pre-made cold brew, but when it’s this easy to make, why pay a premium?)
I’ve previously used the Cookies and Cream Mocha Syrup featured in today’s recipe to make our White Chocolate Cookies and Cream Cupcakes so if you’re grabbing a bottle, be sure to check that recipe out, too!
How long does cold foam last in the fridge? Cold foam can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
How long does cold brew coffee last in the fridge? Homemade cold brew coffee (as long as it has been strained and the coffee grounds discarded) can last in the fridge for 7-10 days.
How to Order at Starbucks:
The “real” Secret Menu Cookies and Cream Cold Brew differs a bit from our version.
The Secret Menu version is a Venti Sweet Cream Cold Brew with 2 pumps of vanilla syrup and 4 pumps of white mocha in the cold brew and then 2 pumps of regular mocha added to the cold foam. And to take the drink over the top, you can also ask for mocha cookie crumbles on top.
