Cinnamon Apple Pound Cake Recipe
There are few pleasures in life better than an afternoon cup of tea or coffee served up with a mid-day dessert.
If you come to my house for an afternoon playdate… or even a mid-morning hang-out, there is a 100% chance there will be dessert. I may try to make it healthy-ish if I know my friend is on a health kick (or just generally one of those sugar-free weirdos) but either way, there will be treats.
This cinnamon apple pound cake is perfect for an easy fall treat, and thanks to the apples, honey and whole wheat flour, you can tell your health-kick friends that it is healthy… ish.
This recipe is courtesy of my friend Ana who brought this pound cake along to a recent coffee date. It had just the perfect amount of sweetness, and a nice, firm cake crumb speckled with those chewy apple pieces.
