A sophisticated take on a berry lemonade, this Berry Basil Lemonade Cocktail is a refreshing summer cocktail.
Berry Lemonade Cocktail Recipe
Berry Lemonade is a summer classic, but it can feel a little immature – especially when serving to guests or pairing with a more sophisticated menu.
This Berry Basil Lemonade Cocktail adds a delicious depth of flavor with very little effort, using a homemade basil syrup to infuse the cocktail with hints of pine, anise and spice. I’m usually not a fan of licorice, but I don’t mind the hints of anise lent to recipes when basil is added.
Making a homemade simple syrup is incredibly easy – you can see how to make a simple syrup in the beginning of my mojito slushies recipe. Feel free to double this recipe and use it to add a hint of basil to other cocktail recipes!
I often order my liquor from Drizly because they have a quick delivery time (sometimes within 40 minutes) and no expensive mark-ups. Purchasing from them supports local retailers, too. You can order the Red, White and Berry Vodka needed for this recipe from them.
