Blood Orange Moscow Mule Recipe

Moscow Mules are one of my favorite cocktails, with their spicy ginger beer flavor and 3-ingredient simplicity (just 1 1/2oz vodka, 4 oz of ginger beer and a lime wedge).

But, you know me – I can’t keep recipes simple for long before I start playing with them and making fun, fresh twists.

Like this Blood Orange Moscow Mule!

Blood Oranges are in peak season December through May, making this a time-sensitive cocktail and something to really look forward to!

The blood oranges lend not only gorgeous color to these classic vodka cocktails – it also imparts an intense orange flavor with a hint of raspberry. (Blood Oranges really are queen of the oranges!)

The resulting flavor combination in this cocktail is unreal – the bite of ginger beer, the intense orange-raspberry flavor of the blood oranges rounded out by the addition of lime, the fresh mint and of course, the little pops of winter flavor from the pomegranates.

Tip: I often order my liquor from Drizly because they have a quick delivery time (sometimes within 40 minutes) and no expensive mark-ups. Purchasing from them supports local retailers, too. You can order the Vodka needed for this recipe from them.
