Even if you have a classic banana bread recipe that you LOVE, I guarantee this banana bread recipe with yogurt will give it a run for it’s money!

I found Greek Gods Greek Yogurt in 5 different flavors at my local Walmart in the dairy aisle’s yogurt section, on the lower shelf.

Each serving of Greek Gods yogurt has 9g of protein. It is also an excellent source of calcium and has seven different live and active cultures.

The Greek Gods Brand products are not only rich, smooth and delicious; they are gluten-free and contain live and active cultures. Plus, The Greek Gods brand Greek-Style Yogurt and Kefir are organic and made with milk from cows that are not treated with growth hormones.

For this recipe, yogurt helps make the banana bread tender and soft – plus the honey vanilla flavor adds those yummy flavors without adding more ingredients to the recipe.

Tip: using Greek God’s Greek Yogurt in the Honey Vanilla flavor allowed me to skip the addition of vanilla in my recipe and added that hint of honey sweetness, which also allowed me to cut down on the brown sugar used in the recipe. If you opt for another flavor, you may want to add a teaspoon or two of vanilla and increase the brown sugar to 3/4 cup or add 1/4 cup honey.

    1. I think I must have – I’m sorry, I made this recipe so long ago, but usually I do use oil or melted butter so I’d assume that was the case for this recipe.
