Hi Judy - thank you so much for checking out our recipe.
There's a couple ways to get the heart shapes. You can buy the silicone mat that we link to in the recipe card (and in the "kitchen tools you may find helpful" section, or you can trace a heart shape onto parchment paper and use that as a guide (using a heart-shaped cookie cutter).
If you're viewing my website on your computer, I think the video is auto-inserted just after the first image. It may take a minute to load as I have my site set up so that the video loads last so as to not prevent you from reading the post as you wait for the media to load.

How did you get the heart shapes? Also there's no video on this recipe nor your regular strawberry macaroons recipe...I've just gotten successful on vanilla merangues; now my grandchildren want fruity macaroons

You're going to want to add some form of powder flavor - without it, the macarons would only have flavor in the filling.
I've experimented with wet flavors (extracts, etc) and while I've had success, I actualy removed the recipe from the site because it's finicky and many readers reported having issues with it, I think because extract composition can vary greatly.
