Hi, just want to say I’m a grandmother of 11. Four beautiful granddaughters. The oldest granddaughter is 7 so I’m starting to teach her the basics of sewing and guiding her through a sewing project. When she comes every summer, and last summer was her first with us, I gave her thin tablet/journal and let her decorate and cover it with different things and every night before bed she was given 15 minutes to write about her day with her Grams and Pops. I have a list of 25 things we do together every time she comes with the except of changing a few up here and there. Teaching her is number one priority to me. Telling her stories but listening and asking her questions is very important thing I do because I want this time to be rich. Yea parties, camping, building desserts etc. this year I’m getting her a camera so she can take pics on her own of each event we do or place we go. I only pray I can do this with her sister too and also my other granddaughters. My grandsons…I’ll do my best but their pops says it’s his turn! Thank you.

Oh, I love this, my granddaughter, and I lost her mother my daughter at 33 years old last year… Her father remarried a lady that’s wonderful, but has her own girls… Please, Lord help me to have enough money to go into it get her and to make the special events happen!!

I love that. They will cherish those pictures and memories forever.
The only gift I still have from my grandma is a ring she gave me on graduation, but I have lots of wonderful memories of her taking me to playgrounds and water parks whenever we’d visit her. Those will always mean more than some fad gift – or even something substantial that children may lose or grow out of.
