20+ Halloween Games for Kids

Ella inherited both my obsession for Halloween and my love for planning parties, so it only fits that her first independently planned party is going to be a Halloween Party! We’ve been combing Pinterest for the best Halloween Party Games out there and today, I’m sharing our findings with you for your own Halloween planning inspiration!

20 Kid-approved games for Halloween - all of your Halloween party planning done for you. These games can even be made by kids and would work great indoors or outdoors.

I’m actually really pumped to step aside and watch my girl plan this Halloween party. She’s tackling invites, decorating, game and activity preparation and planning the menu.

She’s limited to what we already have in the house for decorating and I am trying to steer the Halloween treats towards the slightly healthier options (I don’t want a house full of kids hopped up on sugar) but she’s scaring me with the growing size of her guest list. The last I heard it was bordering on 20 kids…

A lot of the games you’ll see below are prepared by adults (and she’s got a few willing volunteers to help her out) but I think with a little creativity many of the ideas below can be made by kids! (Or at least, uncrafty adults!)

Homemade Party Games for Kids

(Clockwise from top left:)

If you already have paint on hand, you can make this Halloween Tin Can Bowling idea from Red Ted Art for free!

Kids can make this (re-usable) Spiderweb Halloween Corn Hole from Consumer Crafts Blog using poster board instead of wood. (The kind of board you use for science project displays.)

I love how sweet this printable Pin the Spider on the Web from Ella Clair Inspired turned out.

Always a classic, we’re definitely doing a Donut Eating Race like they did at Lipa Village (check out 3 more Halloween games on their site).

You may need to help tie, but the kids can help blow up balloons and tape them in place for this Pop Goes the Pumpkin from Martha Stewart.

This Witch Ring Toss is such a great DIY idea – however, I reverse searched the image and there is no trace of a tutorial (or the original creator) online so you kind of have to go just on the picture.

We just added this fun Printable Monster Pinball Game – which is perfect for a Halloween game or Monsters Inc themed movie night!

Cute Halloween Games for Kids

(Clockwise from top left corner:)

A nice quiet Roll-a-Frankenstein from Housing a Forrest balances out some of the crazier activities.

Check out this Candy Corn Witch Pitch from Chica and Jo – since we all know no one is going to eat that nasty candy corn anyways!

I love this Sticky Spiderweb Game from DIY Network and it’s the perfect way to find a final use for those hula hoops that are not going to make it another summer.

This Halloween Punch-a-Bunch from Teky Teach looks super easy to make and you can hide some ghoulish treats inside the bowls.

I’m loving the cute Halloween printables on offer like this Pumpkin Twister from Pint-Sized Treasures.

Another quiet game, a Halloween Tic Tac Toe Tutorial from Crafty Housewife (not pictured)

A little more polished than the above version, Poke a Pumpkin from Project Denneler (not pictured)

This Paper Plate Pumpkin Memory Game from Simple Play Ideas (not pictured) is a great idea for a classroom game.

Kid-Approved Games for Halloween

A Spider Race like they did at Still Playing School is a great way to burn off some energy if you don’t want the kids running all over the house.

Broomstick Limbo is always a classic. (Passion for Parties – currently offline)

Another option for a Halloween Twister Game (Printable) from Better Homes & Garden

This Pumpkin Toss Game from Better Homes & Gardens comes with a template but does involve some cutting so adults should help.

I also love this Monster Party Bean Bag Toss from the Photographer’s Wife and it’s not strickly for Halloween so it could be added to your playroom after the party.

Or  check out this box feed the monster version from Tried and True Blog (not pictured)

Two creative and easy ideas – Mummy Bowling & Witch Hat Ring Toss from Sometimes Creative

This Walk the Spiderweb Gross Motor Activity from No Time for Flashcards reminds me of Sharon, Lois and Brahm.

Monster Bingo from Better Homes & Gardens serves as a nice ice breaker with mixed groups of friends.
