Tropical Pina Colada Cocktail

Homemade Pina Colada Recipe
My parents travelled a lot with us in the winter when I was young because we lived in China and the air quality was the third worst in the world. One of my favorite summer destinations was Hawaii, where I actually learned how to swim by visiting my dad at the hotel’s pool bar. The bartender sometimes rewarded my efforts by making me a virgin version of this drink with extra cherries and of course, a tiny pink parasol.
Although those childhood versions were nice, I definitely prefer my pina coladas now with a couple ounces of good quality dark rum. They can be made with or without ice, but if you do add ice, make sure to grind it really tiny – to almost a slushie texture.

How to Make a Fresh Pina Colada
Place all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. Taste and adjust to your preferences, adding more juice or coconut cream.
Pour into a glass and garnish as desired.
