I grew up with the notion that salad was just flavourless iceberg lettuce and a few chopped vegetables drenched in store-bought dressing just to give it a bit of flavour – no wonder I hated salad!
Salad can be a delicious and decadent meal on it’s own if you’re willing to forget everything you ever knew about bad salads, and start thinking of them as a fun bowl full of flavours with endless possibilities. You don’t even need to use lettuce (or any green) to make a salad – you can use pasta, or quinoa, or even legumes.
You’ll find everything here from make-ahead salads, to homemade dressings, to entree-style salads that make filling suppers all on their own.
