Halloween and Disney are two of my favourite things, so naturally I had to include a delicious Disney-inspired drink in our collection of Halloween cocktails, and came up with this Poison Apple cocktail.
This Poison Apple martini is a fun fall cocktail that would be perfect for a Halloween party, or a Snow White family movie night (just make some virgin versions for the kids).
For the blood-dripped rim, you can set it quickly in the freezer to prevent it from running too much but I didn’t want to risk sticking my expensive martini glasses in the freezer because the stems are so thin and delicate. (It would be better if you have sturdy glasses.)
How to Make a Poison Apple Cocktail
First, you will need the following ingredients for each cocktail:
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 2 oz sour apple vodka OR plain vodka
- 1 teaspoon grenadine
Start off with garnishing your martini glass by going inside the rim of the glass with a spoon full of grenadine, allowing it to stream down the sides of the glass. (You can instead use a bit of cornstarch with a bit of red dye.)
This cocktail can be served warm or cold, depending on your preference – warm the apple cider now, if needed.
Pour the apple cider and vodka into the martini glass and serve immediately.
