How cute are these Disney Up-inspired Mickey Mouse Ears? They are a great way to build up excitement for an upcoming DisneyWorld trip and usually work out cheaper than the ears you can buy at the parks (or online). These ears are shockingly easy to make – we even made a quick video to prove it!

UP Mickey Mouse Ears, a fun DIY Mouse Ears idea for wearing to DisneyWorld - a Disney craft to pump you up for your Disney vacation

Usually I only share my own crafts (or round ups of crafts) on Sugar, Spice & Glitter but my friend’s daughter was trying to make a bit of money for her upcoming trip to DisneyWorld so I had her come over and help me with a few projects.

Like most teenagers I meet, she’s really curious about blogging – well, vlogging – and was excited to spend a day seeing what goes into it.

I was pretty honest with her – if you’re getting into blogging because you want to make money, you’re doing it for the wrong reasons and would be better off going to work at a fast food restaurant when you consider the cost of blogging and the hours worked – but if you love it, you really love it, and you would spend all of your free time and money doing it with no need for a reward – then you’re in it for the right reasons.

Anyways, putting my soapbox aside, you all know that we LOVE Disney in this house and we love making our own to wear when we go to the Parks, so I suggested that my friend’s daughter help me make a pair of “Up-Inspired Ears” and then take those with her. I showed her how to use my cameras and let her get to work.

They turned out so stinking cute, I may need to make a second pair of ears for my collection!

Check out the video to see how she made them, and then scroll down for the Grape Soda button printable (and printable craft directions):

On one ear glue the cloud and the up letters. On the other ear glue the pom poms together to look like balloons.

Glue white bow to center.

Glue grape soda image to front of bottle cap. Glue bottle cap to center of the bow.

Hot glue white ribbon around ears front and back. Then glue pom poms to base of headband. Make a u and a p out of glue and glue on pom poms to make the letters UP on back of the ears.
