Mickey Mouse Lunch Box Idea
I was never a huge fan of Mickey Mouse, but Ella has always been a devoted fan, so I knew she’d get a kick out of this week’s lunch box idea: a Mickey Mouse lunch!
Lunches like this are super easy to put together – all you need is a cookie cutter in the shape of the theme you are creating! I also added in some Mickey Mouse sprinkles that we had on hand (naturally), but I try to keep our lunches healthy and feasible for busy mornings.
Of course, you can go big with lunch boxes – there are some detailed lunch box ideas out there that could easily take 20+ minutes per lunch box (and that’s a conservative estimate), but I like to opt for easy yet effective solutions for making our healthy lunch boxes a little bit more fun! Incorporating stickers, food picks, and clever food presentations can make a big impact with a few easy details.
For this Mickey Mouse lunch box idea, I packed:
- Rye bread sandwiches cut out with a Mickey-shaped cookie cutter
- Ritz crackers and a Babybel cheese with a Mickey head cut out with a sharp knife – this helps make it easier for Ella to unwrap the cheese if the lunch assistant is busy
- Blueberries and sliced nectarine, cut with the Mickey-shaped cutter (the rest of the nectarine can be chopped up and mixed with the blueberries – we instead ate it with our breakfast)
- Plain yogurt with some pastel Mickey sprinkles

I’ll have to stock up on those Mickey Mouse pretzels and crackers when we go to Disney World – they practically make the lunch box for you.
For people with a sweet tooth, take a look at this healthy lunch dessert recipe of Apple Confit. Take 3-4 firm apples. Peel and dice them. Place them in the slow cooker. Add cinnamon and sugar and keep for cooking until the apples turn translucent. Stir in a few drops of vanilla. Transfer the mixture in a serving bowl and allow it to cool.
