10+ Watermelon Sensory Play
Nothing says summer fun like some watermelon sensory play! We had so much fun with our watermelon play dough that we had to track down 10+ Watermelon Sensory Play ideas to expand our sensory horizons!
Sensory play is a great way to keep kids busy while also helping to develop strong brains. Sensory play also often helps develop hand strength and fine motor skills that prepare children for writing and necessary practical life skills (many kitchen skills can be taught through sensory play). You can even use sensory play to teach various concepts – for example, incorporating counting or sorting into sensory play.
Nearly any sensory play activity you can think of can be enhanced with some watermelon scent and bright colours – and there’s so many different ways to achieve that, from actually using real watermelon to raiding the baking aisle at the grocery store.
